Hm...the program does look realistic like paint, but one thing about the pose of the character himself. The title says "clinging" Impasto, it doesn't really look like he's clinging, but more like casually holding himself up as he climbs. To make it seem more like he's clinging, I would make the look on his face more despirate, or make his hand look like it has a tighter grip.
