Well I scrap the old one. [link]

So here's what I achieve after spending another 2 hours on it. :D

Time taken: 6 hours
Medium: Initally it was done purely in Painter but for the repaint I used Photoshop due to Painter awkward layer function....

You got a pair eagle eyes, don't u? I especially found his ear so realistic that I suspect u cut someone's ear off n paste it there. XP

The basic fundamentals is to keep on practice and train your observation skills.

Currently I do at least a single digital sketch in Painter or Photoshop to sharpen my digital skills because my illustration course mostly cover traditional medium so I ought to hone my digital skills to keep up with trend and of course my art sense. =P
